Sending JAD orders to Nulab

Download the printable pdf (445Kb)

JAD users can send their album orders directly to Nulab for printing after completing their album design in JAD. There is no need to open and re-crop, re-organize or re-size your image files. This saves you a lot of time and is a service provided exclusively by Nulab.

However, it is essential that your album is created with a name that is legible to Java and Nulab Digital Express software. If you already have a completed album, simply create a duplicate album with an acceptable name and use this for placing your order for printing. The name must be no more than 30 characters in length and must not contain any symbols - only letters, numbers, dashes and spaces e.g. Thompson-Flanagan is good, but "Thompson & Flanagan" is not.

Step 1:  Open JAD, then choose New Album and Mats

Step 1

Step 2:  Select Album Type and Page Size

Step 2

Step 3:  Next, in Album Properties select the User tab, then select Nulab as your preferred lab.

Step 3

Step 4:  Create your album. See http://www.jadesigner.com/ja/std_content.jsp?ident=HOME  if you need  any assistance with creation of your album.

Step 5:  When you have completed your album, select Order > Export Images

Step 5

Step 6:  Create or browse to the destination folder that is to receive your album order, preferably directly under your local hard drive. (e.g. C:\Thompson-Flanagan - is better than saving the folder to your  Desktop). This folder will contain the finished image files for Nulab, along with the order  file named NulabOrder.nulxml

  •  Type in Printing DPI (300 is good, but use 400 for metallic paper or fine text).
  •  Select the Mats to Export (usually All Mats).
  •  Select Output Type (usually Printing of files for pages with Mats).
  •  Select Output Format (JPG, or TIF).
  •  There is no need to tag your images with a colour profile.  Choose OK.

Step 6

If you don't already have a Nulab Account, you'll need to have one set up. There are no setup or maintenance fees for Nulab accounts, and no credit card processing fees. If you need an account click here to register.

You can now close JAD and open the Nulab Digital Express software – go to step 6 in the NuDE Ordering tutorial.

To send your order from JAD you will need to use our Nulab Digital Express ordering Software. Please remember that you will need a valid credit card on file at Nulab for this service. Contact Customer Service by phone or email if you need assistance.
