Canvas Stretching
38mm timber stretcher bars are “standard” with Nulab Canvas Stretching.
Expert attention to finishing Nulab’s Stretched Canvas prints results in a finished product that is ready to hang directly on your walls.
Standard Stretching
Standard stretching of canvas prints now includes the cost of laminating with your choice of finish laminate. These prints are stretched to print size designated with the 2.5-3” additional supplied “white canvas” as the wrap around the stretcher bars – unless clearly specified otherwise in mounting instructions as “Gallery Wrap”(see below). The printed images is solely on the front of the stretched canvas - with the outside wrap being the supplied 2.5-3” of plain white canvas.
Gallery Wrap
This stretching option allows for the canvas that is wrapped around the outside portion of your stretcher frame to be covered in printed image. The canvas print ordered needs to be the requested final hanging size PLUS 2 inches additional printed material supplied by the client. This outside 2 inches will be the outside wrap that will perpendicular to the wall.
Example - final outside dimensions of your stretched canvas to be 16x20”. You will need to take your file sized to 16x20 ratio and “add” the needed 2” of image that will be “wrapped around” the outside of the stretcher bars. The canvas print size you will need to order will be 20x24 - with the laminate cost for 20x24 included. However - the final hanging size and subsequent stretcher size you pay for is 16x20”.
Thinner stretcher bars can be ordered at any time - and may be preferred if your stretched canvas is for framing purposes. You must request the smaller stretcher bars in special instructions. Short delays may result as these are specialty items and must be “ordered in” for your individual needs.
