Hi and welcome to the November edition of the Nulab News.
In this issue, we talk about the 2005 Masterclass Seminars with Joseph and Louise Simone and Dr. Henry Oles from Virtual Backgrounds The Nulab Australian Wedding Portrait Academy becomes a reality and will commence operations next year. We believe it will be only facility in Australia where you will be able to learn all about how to establish and run a successful wedding portrait business.
So for the month of October;
Michael’s update.
October saw the untimely tragic death of my close friend and our Nulab Accountant Richard Gerhards. He was only 39 years old. While holidaying in Alice Springs, Richard collapsed and passed away. He will be missed by everyone at the lab.

Last week we completed the publication of the Frank Cricchio book on lighting, posing and digital exposure. With

 over 170 pages and only 100 copies printed this will be a most invaluable tool for the professional photographer. In 2 weeks we should have a DVD of the Melbourne Seminar also available.
We are most excited to bring our next series of Masterclass seminars .
Rembrandt completed more than 600 paintings in his lifetime. He was best known for illuminating his subjects with uncommon light sources, which created a timeless and dramatic effect. The same can be said today of Louise and Joseph Simone’s very unique and distinctive photography portraits. Just as Rembrandt used purposeful brush strokes and deliberate colours to encapsulate his subjects, The Simones

employ contrasts of light and dark and carefully balanced shadows to capture their subjects with a timeless and dramatic effect. That has always been the Simone’s vision for their art.
Dr. Henry Oles has enjoyed an extensive and varied career in professional photography, starting as a wedding and portrait photographer and then after discovering the power of virtual backgrounds he became an inventor, a manufacturer and a distributor of innovative products for professional photographers as well as a speaker and a writer. He earned an MA and PhD and became a professor of Psychology.
His seminar on background power will show how by using a variety of exciting backgrounds you can increase your bottom line.
The Masterclass Series scheduled for February 2005 will consist of 2 full days. The first day by the Simones and the second by Dr. Henry Oles.
We will have full studios set up in each city and you will learn not only how to take beautiful pictures but also on how to make more money from your craft.
