‘Think about it, every picture you have ever taken has a background. It might be just something extremely simple or it might be something very special captured as part of a location shoot. Generally speaking, portrait photographers pay only minimal attention to the background unless they are working on location. Actually, the only reason to go to the trouble of shooting on location is to capture the location background with the subject. If the background is so important on location, why should not the background have equal importance when working in the studio?’
